Working Safely During Covid-19
/This policy is part of our communication with clients to ensure the household understands the social distancing and hygiene measures that should be followed during their Art installation to minimise risk for all parties. In order to prioritise the health of our clients and our family we will follow the below procedures as we resume work from 13 May 2020.
Prior to arrival:
· We will discuss each working environment and practices with every client in advance of their booking to confirm how the work will be carried out.
· We will only take bookings for 1 installer. The install of large and/or heavy works requiring 2 installers will resume when the social distancing rules change and installers can be closer than 2m.
· No work will be carried out in a household which is isolating because one or more family member has symptoms or where an individual has been advised to shield.
· If anyone in the client’s household develops symptoms or tests positive to Covid-19 prior to their booking, they are to inform Hang My Art at the earliest opportunity and reschedule the appointment.
· If anyone in the installer’s household develops symptoms or tests positive to Covid-19 prior to a booking, Hang My Art will inform the relevant clients at the earliest opportunity and reschedule the appointments.
· The installer reserves the right to leave the property if symptoms are displayed by clients during install. The call out and hourly rate will still be charged.
· David will travel to client properties alone using our own van for transport.
· This vehicle will be regularly cleaned using gloves and standard cleaning products, with emphasis on handles and other areas where the driver may touch surfaces.
We ask clients to:
· Leave all internal doors open to minimise contact with door handles.
· Pay electronically to avoid contact during payments. An invoice will be emailed upon completion of install.
At the property the installer will:
· Minimise the contact prior to and during installation. For example, we will call to inform of arrival, rather than ringing the doorbell.
· Be particularly strict about handwashing, coughing and sneezing hygiene throughout the installation, for example covering his nose and mouth and disposing of single-use tissues.
· Maintain 2 metres social distancing at all times.
· Wear a face mask and gloves.
· Bring food and drink to properties and have breaks outside where possible.
· Not visit more than 1 client property per day.
